Hello Everyone,
Well we are off to Maryland this Sunday September 14th and hopefully any hurricane's will stay south. We will launch from the Kent Narrows public boat ramp at 9:30 a.m. and go across Prospect Bay, go through the Wye River and around Wye Island. We will then head over to St. Michaels.
In St. Michaels, we can have lunch at the Crab Claw Restaurant out on the deck. Then we can walk around St. Michaels, they have a lot of unique shops and it is a great tourist town. After doing that we can travel back to Kent Narrows and stop at either the Red Eye Dock Bar for drinks and dinner and possibly the amazing atmoshere it is known for, although it is after Labor Day so for some reason things slow down a bit. Our other choice would be Harris's Crab House which is next to the Red Eye.
So it sounds like a great ride and hopefully everyone can get out there on Sunday. The season unfortunately is starting to wind down some although there are some of us who will ride to the end of October if it is not to cold. If you are going please either post here or e-mail me directly so we can get a head count.
Below are some basic directions to the ramp from the Harrisburg area.
Rt 83 south to Rt 695 West/ South ( Baltimore Beltway ) to Rt 97 south to Rt 50 east, cross the Bay Bridge then the Kent Narrows Bridge and use exit 41 from Rts 50/301. You can also come in from the Delaware/ Marlyland side as well.
Hope to see everyone
Watts
