Cohansey River Ride: Sunday June 22nd 9:30 a.m.

Hello Everyone,

Sunday June 22nd we will heading down to Maryland to meet up with Dan, Ken and Vince for the Cohansey River Ride. We will launch from Elk Neck State Park at 9:30 a.m. For more info on the ride and where we will stop to eat go to the Club Events section of the website. Please let me know by Wednesday night via here or e-mail if you are planning on going so I have a head count.

Not a problem. So far the weather for down there isn't supposed to be to good, rain and thenderstorms. So I will be keeping an eye on it. It is still early in the week, things could change.

The weather and mostly the wind will be a big factor on the run to the Cohansey, We tried it on a windy day,one of our group got taken off his ski by a wave affraid

. It get rough out there. But we can always shoot across to Salem NJ and ride some side creeks, that's a blast.

I may be in for the ride on Sunday. I am trying to work some bugs out on my RXP and it is very frustrating. If that is not running right by then, I may be out on the XPL. Are people meeting up somewhere around Harrisburg to make the drive? Lets cross our fingers that the weather holds out!

Good to hear from you. There are a couple of new members that live out towards the Harrisburg area that would like to meet up with anyone from around there to travel down together. If you want I can give them your e-mail address or have them put something up here or I can give their e-mail. In the meantime I will try and get a hold of them and pass the word on. So look for them on here to. There names are Steve and Jennifer.

well-- rxp is still not running right. Very frustrating since the lake is over an hour away- this was the third trip. Looks like i will be on the xpl if i can make it.

Hi River Runners,

Once again the weather looks like it is not going to be on our side tomorrow for the Cohansey Ride, so we will cancel tomorrow and reschedule.I am going to get with Dan over the next day or two and see what weekend we can do it. We have the big Freedom Ride beginning July 11th and if you can't make the entire journey maybe all of you can show up at Leesylvania on the 12th for the day ride to D.C. Let me know if you plan on doing either or by Wednesday as I am trying to put some of the final plans together. Dan I am going to call you later today or tomorrow about next weekend. I will be in touch witheveryone here and by e-mail of the reschedule date for the Cohansey Ride as well as some others. We will also be putting up some more planned rides for July and August under the club events section in the 3 0r 4 days. As you ride weekly in your area please fell free to encourge people you see or meet to join the club. The more we have the stronger we get.
